Catherine Graham Christie, a well known Cedar Key artist, founded the Cedar Key Arts Center in 1994 as a non-profit organization. Her generous gift of the building and property on Cedar Key's Historic 2nd Street houses the Cedar Keyhole Artists Cooperative on the main floor and the Cedar Key Arts Center Show Gallery, Member Artist's Gallery, photography laboratory and art studio on the second floor. As Founder and Benefactor of the CKAC she is also a Lifetime Emeritus Member of the Board of Directors.

Joy and Bob Witman were named Benefactors & Lifetime Members of the CKAC in March 2006 by the Board of the CKAC. Through the years they've done just about everything from finding models for sketch group and making frames for local artists to serving as President, Vice President, Gallery Chairmen & clean-up crew. The commitment of both time and financial support has gone a long way to make the CKAC what it is today.
