A look at last year's Member Artists (2010-2011)

November/December: Artists of Cedar Key. The member artist gallery features "The Artists of Cedar Key." Please come in to experience the wide variety and creativity of some of Cedar Key's talented local artists including: Ann Kamzelski, Barbara deVarennes, Sandra Allen, Charles McDonnell, Etoyle Sermons, Carol Sakellarios, Lee Rexroat, Steve and Sandra Westenberg and Amy and Henry Gernhardt. In addition selected items from the Arts Centers Cathy Chrisie collection are on sale.

January: The oil paintings of Cedar Keyhole Artist, Bob Goodlett were featured in the Member Artists' Gallery in January. Bob's serene interpretations of nature's moods are both delicately and dramatically depicted in his paintings of our marshes, waterways and wildlife.

February:Conversations in Oil. The Member’s Gallery was filled with scenes along the coast – boats, sunbathers, children playing – Barbara Perrotti’s exhibit definitely made you feel like you were sitting on the beach… feeling the warm breeze, smelling the ocean area and hearing the sounds of our coastal world.  Workshop participants were enchanted by her gentle teaching style as they created their own still-life “conversations.”

March/April: The impressionistic drawings and pastels of deceased Cedar Key Artist, Lola Roppel, were featured in the Member Artist Gallery this month. The exhibit includes a portrait of Lola painted by the Art Center's beneficiary, Cathie Christie (on loan from Lola's family who was in town for the opening.)
