The boat builders have finished construction and the boat was moved to it’s new “permanent” spot in the Sculpture Garden.  They hope that all finishing touches will be done and the mast raised by the April 5 date that is planned for dedication of the sculpture garden.

As mentioned previously on the website, unfortunately some dry rot has set in and the boat is not water worthy, but it will become a very special part of the Sculpture Garden. Along with the fisherman and the fish, the boat reminds us of the long history of fishing in Cedar Key.
