Summer Children's Art Program Benefit Dinner

The 2010 Children’s Summer Art Program Benefit dinner was a huge success.  66 guests joined us for a 3-course gourmet dinner catered by Peter Stefani and the Island Room Staff.  20 pieces of art donated by local artists were also raffled. Over $1,600 was raised to support the program.  Thanks to all who were able

2nd Annual Cedar Key Arts Center PAINT OUT

2nd Annual PAINT OUT a Huge Success 

The weather was perfect, the artists were painterly prolific, and art patrons were particularly philanthropic at the Cedar Key Arts Center’s 2nd Annual Paint Out.  Thirteen artists were seen about town from 2-4 pm furiously trying to complete a piece of work in two hours or less.  When they were done, artists and patrons joined together for a reception upstairs at the Arts Center to view the creations which were auctioned.  Again this year, Judy Duvall and Eileen Senegal entertained a crowd of 40-50, as they auctioned off the pieces.  $2485 was raised ruing the event.  Thanks to the artists, the auctioneers and the audience for participating in the awesome affair.

The 2010 Old Florida Celebration of the Arts was better than ever 

Cedar Key welcomed over 100 talented artists who enjoyed the laid back hospitality of Cedar Key.  Despite a hail storm just after 1:30 on Sunday afternoon, the festival had more visitors than the previous two years.  Not only did visiting artists   experience record sales, but local galleries, restaurants, and park food vendors  reported brisk business.
