January - Abstract Art: this exhibit featured artist Betty Neubauer of Jensen Beach, Fl. The gallery was filled with vibrant colors and abstract shapes. Betty does not title her work as she feels it limits what the viewer may see. Instead she encouraged visitors to use their imagination.
February - 3-D show Winners On Saturday evening, 2/2, the Cedar Key Arts Center hosted the opening of the third annual 3-D show. Twenty-four artist from the local area and as far as Orlando, took on the 3-D challenge. Local artist and Cedar Key Board Member, Peter Klocksien, judged the show. The winners were as follows:
Please come in and vote for your favorite.
The People's Choice Award went to Susan Reichart for her creation Water Works.
March - The March exhibit featuring Photo-Realist Sam Kates of St. Joe Beach, Fl is absolutely unbelievable. The scenes from Cedar Key and other areas of the nature coast are so exact that you could tell exactly where he was standing when he composed the picture. Scenes of the back bayou, "old" big dock, Seahorse Key and the working boats combine to create an awesome, and very personal, exhibit for Cedar Key residents.

April - The World of Connie Neslon exhibit opened with much excitement on Saturday evening, April 5. Connie's creativity exploded in her creations inspired after 911. The exhibit will continue through the month of April.
May - The Cedar Key School Student Art Show was an overwhelming success. The main gallery was filled to the brim with all types of creations. The show was coordinated and hung by Debby Manansala, the new CKS Art Teacher and CKAC Board member (pictured). Thank you Debby and all of the children who contributed to this exciting exhibit.
